The April Featured Guest is Romy Veul. Come on over and welcome Romy and check out her gorgeous creations!
My name is Romy Veul, I am 19 (almost 20) years old and I live in the north
of the Netherlands together with my parents, my two brothers of 17 years old and
our cats and guinea pigs. I study Dutch language & linguistics at University
in Amsterdam. So needless to say language is one of my biggest passions. But it
isn't my only huge passion: scrapbooking definitely is my second obsession. I
first discovered scrapbooking almost 7 years ago, when I attended a workshop
during the jubilee celebrations at my high school. Creativity has always been an
important part of my life, but somehow I never managed to find the perfect hobby
for me. That was until I came into touch with scrapbooking. I was hooked since
the very first paper that I touched and I haven't looked back ever since.
I think that throughout the 7 years that I have been scrapbooking, I
have kind of developed my own style. My layering is probably what is most
typical for my work. I like to incorporate lots of layers in all of my
creations. Besides that I love to use punches, dies and fussy cut elements. When
I first started scrapbooking, I only did lay-outs and mini albums, but at the
moment I'm hooked to making cards and tags as well. Scrapbooking is my creative
outlet after a long day at school and I don't think I will ever stop doing it.
At the moment I'm proud to design for Bo Bunny, Maja Design, Scraps of Elegance,
Once Upon a Sketch and a Dutch magazine.
Thank you so much, Cindy, for featuring my work. I love your website
